“Now It’s Time to Raise Awareness Regarding Human Rights”

Poster designs of the aforesaid students of EMU appeared at exhibitions in France, the USA, Brazil, Russia, Iran, Morocco and Turkey on 7 December 2017. Another national poster design exhibition will be launched at EMU on 14 March 2018. During the exhibition, one of the directors of “Poster for Tomorrow” project Herve Matine will be delivering a seminar.

Chair of the Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu, who provided assistance during the poster design stage of the said students, stated that the freedom of movement is a human right and awareness need to be raised regarding the difficulties encountered by those who have to relocate due to wars. In this respect, poster designs on this issue carry special importance. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çavuşoğlu added that people from different nations bring color and life to the world and that closing borders to travelers and building walls to keep people outside will ensure a dark future for humanity.
